To the extent that it's material, I would like to see your opinions on exercise selections (e.g., if you are looking for a main hinge exercise, here is my preferential rank and why) - or why it's not really material. Thanks.
I believe everything has a context where it’s relevant. That being said I wrote posts on tension range dissecting what makes exercises more anabolic / powerful rep for rep and the concept is applied to hinges as well.
Will cover practical favorites at some point however
Hope you feel better man! I’m also sick right now too - worst I’ve had it in a long time. I’m too handsome and healthy for this shit lol.
Would love more stuff on springing! Getting faster, breathing, fartleks, 200s vs 400s vs 100s etc. but that’s just me - I’m biased as a former track guy
more advanced Track work is coming but I slightly biased some of it for the spring (at least spring for the U.S.) since most will be training indoors right now and some can't train track during winter due to lack of access.
Winter will have a slightly emphasized martial arts focus but track work + more plyos are 100% coming. Video included
Happy New Year hybrid. Loved the latest shoulder health article. Would be great to hear more about how you would approach objective of improving rotation in torso and hips, particularly with a view to more whip in punches and kicks. After years of powerlifting I’m transitioning to boxing and my rotational movement needs some considerable improvement. Thanks
